It is unclear why shareholders are only limited to a physical inspection of the full rules of the Remgro CSP and SAR Plans underpinning resolutions which shareholders are being asked to vote upon at the upcoming AGM.
Also, why limit such inspection to a short period only?
Could these documents not be annexed to the Notice, instead of annexing summaries thereof?
If the full details were part of the Notice of the AGM, shareholders and other interested parties would have permanent copies thereof and could continue to inspect and review it, even after the AGM.
It is interesting that Naspers did something similar a few years ago and when shareholders requested copies of the documents after the AGM, they were informed that it was not available anymore.
Only when a PAIA notice was served on the company by some shareholders, was the document released to them.
